Jude Bellingham matches David Beckham in Real Madrid history books

Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham this evening continued to etch his name ever further into the storied history books of the club.

Real, and Bellingham, were of course back in action a short time ago.

In a highly-anticipated La Liga showdown, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops welcomed Girona to the Santiago Bernabéu, for a top of the table clash.

Los Blancos headed into proceedings in the knowledge that an eventual victory would see them take a considerable step towards the title, by way of a five-point advantage atop the table.

And, when all was said and done, this is precisely what the evening’s hosts managed… in some style.

Owing to goals on the part of all of Vinícius Jr, Jude Bellingham (2) and Rodrygo, Real marched on to a frankly remarkable 4-0 triumph.

And, as alluded to above, in the process, one starring member of Ancelotti’s ranks grabbed the headlines for himself once more.

As revealed by Squawka, after finding the net twice more amid what has proven a stellar debut season in Spain, Jude Bellingham equalled the goal tally racked up by fellow countryman David Beckham in the colours of Real Madrid.

Oh, and he has done so in 126 fewer appearances…
