Isaac Romero speaks out on Sevilla future

Sevilla star Isaac Romero has this week provided an insight into his hopes of remaining with the club long-term.

The emergence of frontman Isaac has of course proven one of the stories of the season to date in Seville.

After enjoying a sparkling opening to the season with the club’s reserve outfit, the attacker was afforded a permanent place in Quique’s first-team squad this past January.

And, safe to say, the move has since proven a beneficial one for all parties involved.

All told, Isaac has been afforded 13 appearances to date, racking up a head-turning five goals and four assists in the process.

Such exploits are already understood to have piqued the attentions of clubs across the continent, amid claims of interest from all of the Premier League, Bundesliga, and Serie A.

The brass at The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán, though, are keen to fend off any and all suitors, by tying the 23-year-old down to a new contract.

And, if the latest comments on the part of Isaac himself are anything to go by, then he appears equally keen to extend his current terms, set to expire in the summer of 2025.

Speaking in an interview with Sevilla’s official media channels, as cited by Marca, the Spaniard today explained:

“I’ve already said it. Both my family and I are very happy here. We would love to continue for many more years, but that will have to be carried out by my agents and the club, that they reach an agreement. I already said it. I am very happy and I would like to continue being part of this great club.”
