Injury update provided on Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé

An update on the wellbeing of new Real Madrid signing Kylian Mbappé has come to the fore late on Saturday.

For those who may have missed it, this comes after the 25-year-old was forced to sit out group training with the France national team earlier today.

Mbappé, for his part, is fresh off proving himself the star of the show for Les Bleus, in the country’s 3-0 downing of Luxembourg during the week.

En route to playing a direct hand in all three of his side’s goals, however, the prolific frontman also picked up a fitness concern.

Mbappé, as a result, did not take part in training alongside the rest of Didier Deschamps’ squad on Saturday.

And, late this evening, an update on precisely why has been forthcoming.

The info comes courtesy of La Chaîne L’Équipe, and confirms that the departing Paris Saint-Germain star is suffering with discomfort in his back.

In a relief for all of a France persuasion ahead of their fast-approaching Euro 2024 opener against Austria, any form of muscular issue has been ruled out.

But Mbappé’s status to face Canada on Sunday, as things stand, is considered to be up in the air.
