Héctor Bellerín facing Barcelona exit

Héctor Bellerín might not remain a Barcelona player for much longer, report Estadio Deportivo.

The 27-year-old joined the Blaugrana this past summer, but has been struggling for playing time at the club. Even though he is Barcelona’s only natural right-back, Xavi often prefers to play Alejandro Balde or Jules Koundé in that position.

It is believed that his former club Real Betis are keen to sign him as soon as this January, however, they may have to wait until next summer before he can become a Los Verdiblancos player.

Bellerín’s contract with Barcelona is valid until June 2023, meaning Real Betis would have to pay a fee if they want to see him play at the Estadio Benito Villamarín in the second half of this season.

Nonetheless, the Spanish full-back is free to sign pre-contractual agreements with clubs from January onwards.

Based on the current situation, it is very unlikely that Bellerín will extent his contract beyond this season with Barcelona.
