Héctor Bellerín discusses contract termination with Arsenal

As broken by Fabrizio Romano, Héctor Bellerín is in London to negotiate with Arsenal his contract termination.

In July it was reported that Real Betis were holding discussions with the Gunners to sign the 27-year-old permanently.

However, Bellerín´s contract in London doesn´t expire until June 2023, meaning Los Verdiblancos would have to pay a fee in order to secure the right-back´s services.

The Spaniard met the Arsenal board alongside his agent to discuss the potential termination of his contract with the club.

Since La Liga will restart this coming weekend, Bellerín would like to return to Real Betis as soon as possible so that he can re-join the team with which he won the Copa del Rey at the end of last season.

It appears he is willing to take a pay-cut to play for the Andalucían side as the club are unlikely to be able to afford his current €4 million-a-year salary.
