Greenwood, De Jong, Coman? – Who was discussed at Barcelona chief Deco’s meeting with Man United?

An insight into the names most likely to have been under discussion during the meeting between Barcelona sporting director Deco and Premier League giants Manchester United on Monday has been forthcoming online.

The subject of potential reinforcements has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital once more over the course of the last few hours.

This comes after the aforementioned Deco was spotted in attendance at a sit-down with a pair of representatives from the aforementioned Manchester United.

As per a report from Jijantes, whilst Barcelona president Joan Laporta was in conversation with super agent Pini Zahavi in one meeting, Deco was leading another, with Red Devils pair John Murtaugh, and Matt Hargreaves.

The exact focus of the talks between the parties has not yet been made clear.

However, Mundo Deportivo have moved to provide an insight into those most likely to have been under discussion.

First and foremost is Mason Greenwood, whose fine form on loan with Getafe this season is long understood to have piqued the attentions of the Barca brass.

The future of Frenkie de Jong, meanwhile, was no doubt also brought to the fore, with Erik ten Hag and Man United remaining keen on the signature of a player who has taken his place atop the wishlist at Old Trafford for several years now.

And yet, the negotiations may well have extended beyond the confines of the respective playing squads at Barca, and United.

This comes with Frank Tramboli and Fede Massai, representatives of the CAA Base agency, having been present, too.

Amongst a host of others, Tramboli and Massai handle the affairs of the likes of Son Heung-min, Kingsley Coman, and Umar Sadiq.
