Atlético Madrid star Julián Alvarez has early this week caused a fresh stir across the Spanish football landscape. This comes courtesy of his choice of agent moving forward.
Frontman Alvarez recently made the call to part ways with long-time representative Fernando Hidalgo, after seeing his dream move to Barcelona fail to come to fruition over the summer.
A whole host of leading agents from across world football, in turn, expressed an interest in adding the Argentine to their respective rosters of talent.
In the end, though, Alvarez has opted for one with recent experience of securing for one of his clients a move to none other than Hansi Flick’s Barca.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘Pablo Barquero, the agent of Barcelona’s Rodrigo Hernández (Rodri), is the one most convincing both Álvarez and his family to join him in his professional career, and the deal is expected to be finalised soon.’
A possible sign that Alvarez has not yet given up on his Camp Nou-shaped dreams?
