La Liga giants Barcelona will be forced to make do without star attacker Raphinha for their next two fixtures. That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Tuesday provided an update on the Brazilian’s wellbeing.
Frontman Raphinha was for his part forced to sit out this past weekend, as Barcelona kicked their campaign back into gear with a comfortable victory over Getafe.
After suffering a muscular problem whilst on international duty with Brazil, the 29-year-old was not risked for the fixture.
Hansi Flick subsequently confirmed that Raphinha would also not be available to face Galatasaray later this evening, left out of Barca’s travelling squad as a result.
The widespread expectation was in turn that the former Leeds United winger would be given the medical green light to face Real Betis in La Liga this coming weekend.
As alluded to above, however, if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, this will not be the case. As per a report from Sport:
‘Raphinha is expected to return against PSG’ a week from today.
