Éder Militão makes return to the pitch with Real Madrid

All associated with Real Madrid were this evening afforded a welcome boost on the personnel front.

As much came upon Éder Militão, at long last, marking his return to the pitch.

Carlo Ancelotti’s troops were of course back in action a short time ago, welcoming Athletic Club to Spain’s capital for a La Liga clash.

When all was said and done, Real marched to the right side of a 2-0 scoreline, owing to a brace on the part of frontman Rodrygo.

The result means that, with just eight games of the Spanish top-flight season remaining, Los Blancos maintain a hefty eight-point advantage atop the table.

And yet, as alluded to above, the eventual result was not the only reason for fans of the capital giants to smile on Sunday night.

This comes with Real have also welcomed back long-term injury absentee Éder Militão.

Sidelined since last August after suffering an ACL tear in the club’s season opener, the Brazilian international took his place back on the bench on Sunday night, before being introduced to rapturous applause for the game’s final moments.
