Eden Hazard set to undergo scan for injury picked up in defeat to Alavés

Real Madrid forward Eden Hazard will undergo a series of scans on Monday to determine the seriousness of the muscular problem in his right leg, according to AS.

The Belgian was forced off in the 28th minute of Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at home to Alavés. Head coach Zinedine Zidane confirmed in the post-match press conference that the player had complained of discomfort after a collision.

Early reports coming out of the Spanish capital suggest that the former Chelsea attacker may even miss the Madrid derby on December 12 when Los Blancos take on Atlético Madrid at Valdebebas. Before then Madrid travel to Ukraine to take on Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Tuesday.
