Gerard Piqué on becoming Barcelona president: “It’s something I’ll decide in the future.”

Speaking in an interview with Marca, Barcelona defender Gerard Piqué gave his thoughts on one day becoming the president of FC Barcelona.

If I see that I can help the club then I will decide. It is something that I have always had in mind, but I don’t know if it will come true. It won’t happen in the upcoming elections because I can’t, I’m still a player and when you’re a player you can’t run for president, but in the future, you never know. I’m a massive Barcelona fan, as you all know. I’d like to help the club I love in the best way I know how to, and that means being really well prepared to be president. If not then I won’t put myself forward. It’s something I’ll decide in the future, it’s a dream I’ve always had, but I don’t know if it will happen.
