Confirmed: Real Betis seal deal for West Ham United’s Pablo Fornals

La Liga outfit Real Betis have this evening sealed an agreement with their counterparts at West Ham United, over the signing of Pablo Fornals.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who has provided an insight into developments behind the scenes at the Estadio Benito Villamarín.

Midfielder Fornals had long emerged as a prime target on the part of the Betis brass ahead of today’s transfer deadline.

This comes as the Verdiblancos brass seek to add further creativity and guile to an already talented engine room core under the watch of Manuel Pellegrini.

Out of favour in east London, but still held in high regard across the continent, Spaniard Fornals was in turn earmarked as the ideal addition.

And, as alluded to above, on Thursday, Betis’ efforts to bring the 27-year-old in have at long last borne fruit.

As per a report from Fabrizio Romano, a verbal agreement has been reached between the respective powers that be at the Benito Villamarín, and London Stadium.

The accord in question is based around an initial fixed fee of €6 million, followed by a series of add-ons amounting to a further €4 million.

Fornals, in turn, is primed to fly out to his home country, ahead of putting pen to paper on terms with Real Betis at some point over the coming hours.
