Real Madrid seal shirt sleeve sponsorship agreement with HP

La Liga giants Real Madrid are set to partner up with American technology firm HP, as part of a new sponsorship agreement.

That’s according to The Athletic’s Guillermo Rai, who has on Thursday provided an insight into the situation.

Earlier today, Real’s social media team set pulses racing across the club’s fanbase, in unveiling a short video, featuring a desk and laptop on the Bernabéu pitch, captioned with tomorrow’s date:

Inevitable speculation swiftly followed, pointing towards the post hinting at an imminent transfer announcement, potentially in the form of an official agreement with long-time target Kylian Mbappé.

This, however, is in fact not the case.

Instead, the powers that be at Real Madrid have struck up a new partnership, with the aforementioned HP (Hewlett-Packard).

The accord will see the HP logo imprinted onto Los Blancos’ shirt sleeves moving forward.

The exact details of the sponsorship have not as of yet been revealed, but The Athletic point towards a long-term deal being in the works, for a total sum in the region of €50 million.
