Confirmed: Girona star Sávio to join Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City

Girona talent Sávio is all set to take his talents to England, with Manchester City this summer.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who has this evening provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes at the Estadi Montilivi.

Sávio, of course, has proven one of Spanish football’s breakout stars of the season to date.

All told, across 27 appearances in all competitions, the Brazilian, at just 19 years of age, has racked up a head-turning haul of seven goals and seven assists.

Such production has inevitably begun to pique attentions across Europe, with a whole host of continental giants understood to have been keeping a close eye on Sávio’s situation with a view to next season.

As alluded to above, though, such interested parties have today been dealt a fatal blow.

This comes amid confirmation that Sávio’s future beyond the summer has already been decided.

As per a report from Fabrizio Romano, the versatile attacker has reached an agreement with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, to link up with the Premier League champions for the 2024/25 campaign.

As much comes with the Sky Blues of course the head of the snake in the ‘City Group’, with both Girona, and Troyes – whom Sávio is currently out on loan from – taking their place further down the chain.

The Brazilian youth international will now turn attentions back to his side’s ongoing challenge for the La Liga title, before putting pen to paper on a long-term contract at the Etihad Stadium.
