Hammer blow for Real Betis as extent of Isco’s injury confirmed

An insight into the extent of the injury suffered by Real Betis star Isco has come to the fore late this evening.

And the news will no doubt come as a heavy blow to all associated with Betis.

Midfielder Isco, for his part, set pulses racing at the Estadio Benito Villamarín a little over 24 hours ago.

This came upon the Spaniard – who has enjoyed a return to his very best form this season – limping out of his side’s La Liga meeting with Getafe.

After converting from the penalty spot to draw Betis level earlier in proceedings, Isco pulled up during the 2nd-half, in his attempts to chase down a pass from teammate Ez Abde.

Quickly hooked from proceedings as a result, it soon became evident that the 31-year-old’s issue was a serious one, upon footage of his pained expression whilst on the bench coming to the fore.

The Betis faithful, in turn, had since been forced to wait for an update on their star performer’s wellbeing with bated breath.

And, as alluded to above, late on Monday, precisely that has been forthcoming.

Speaking on ‘El Chiringuito Inside’ a short time ago, Pedro Bravo, Isco’s agent, revealed the extent of the injury suffered by his client.

“Isco has a break in his ischium,” Bravo began. “He has told me that he will be out between six and eight weeks, although I think he will be back sooner. It depends on the degree of the break. He was crying because of the pain of having to miss games.”
