Premier League club Brighton are closing in on the signing of Barcelona forward Ansu Fati.
As Mundo Deportivo report, Chelsea and Tottenham had both been linked with a move for the Spain international in the last 24 hours, however, the Seagulls now look set to win the race to secure his services.
With less game time under Xavi at Barcelona, Fati has recently decided to leave the club to continue his career elsewhere.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Barça are now prepared to accept the formal proposal received which is for a loan move.
Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi has reportedly been a key factor in the player’s decision to move to the impressive Premier League club in the final few days of the transfer window.
Brighton like to bet on young talent and this summer they sold World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister to Liverpool and fellow midfielder Moisés Caicedo to Chelsea.
