Barcelona’s Vitor Roque travels with squad for Las Palmas clash

As reported by Relevo, Vitor Roque has travelled with the Barcelona squad ahead of their clash with Las Palmas, as he awaits his registration.

Roque’s planned debut remains up in the air due to his pending registration from La Liga. The player has travelled to Gran Canaria with his new teammates but the Brazilian is waiting to be registered until the end of the season, despite Barca initially planning to sign him in the summer.

The Catalan club decided to bring in the forward following the news of Gavi’s long-term absence. However, the new number 19 is still awaiting the approval of La Liga to play his first game with the club.

The club remain optimistic about the approval, as the documents have already been sent and Xavi is preparing to have Roque at his disposal for Thursday’s match. At the end of the season, the Spanish giants will need to re-register the 18-year-old wonderkid.

Vitor Roque landed in Barcelona last Wednesday, signing a contract that commits him to the club until 2031, with a €500m release clause in the deal. The dynamic attacker has been training with the team and has already received praise from Xavi’s staff and team-mate Pedri.
