Barcelona will go into the 2023-24 season high in confidence, as the reigning La Liga champions. They will be hoping to make it back-to-back title wins next season, and they face a very favourable start to their league campaign. They begin the season against Getafe away from home before facing Cádiz, Villarreal, Osasuna, Real Betis and Celta Vigo.
They will be hoping to make the most out of their fortunate schedule, before things get significantly tougher. In gameweek 10 they play Athletic Club, followed by Real Madrid and then Real Sociedad.
Xavi’s men will be confident in their abilities, especially defensively, after a near record-breaking season last time out. Their real challenge next season will be in Europe. Under the reign of Xavi, they have consistently underperformed and been embarrassed in the biggest club competition on the planet.
The Blaugrana take on Real Madrid in the first Clásico of the season on 29 October. The reverse fixture will be at the Bernabéu on the weekend of 21 April 2024.
