An up-and-coming member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona could yet be afforded minutes off the bench in the club’s European season opener.
This comes amid confirmation that Jesse Bisiwu is currently training with Hansi Flick’s squad.
Youngster Bisiwu – who swapped Club Brugge for Catalunya’s capital this summer – set alarm bells ringing in Barcelona this past weekend. The recipient of a nasty challenge during an appearance in the annual Catalan Cup, the winger was stretchered off in evident distress.
Fears quickly spread that Bisiwu had suffered a serious injury, but the 18-year-old quelled any and all concerns on Monday, in taking to the training pitch alongside Barca’s first-team stars at the Ciutat Esportiva.
The Blaugrana, fresh off a 5-0 drubbing of Valencia on Sunday, have kicked into gear preparations for their Champions League opener against Feyenoord on Wednesday.
And according to Mundo Deportivo:
‘Young winger Jesse Bisiwu trained with the first team and will be available to play at the Spotify Camp Nou (vs Feyenoord).’
