3 Real Madrid stars are suspended for Inter Milan clash

La Liga giants Real Madrid will be forced to make do without the services of a trio of midfield stars in their opening fixture in this season’s Champions League.

This comes owing to respective suspensions carrying over from the 2025/26 campaign.

Real are of course primed to kick their endeavours on the continent into gear on Tuesday evening, when they welcome reigning Scudetto holders Inter Milan to Spain’s capital for a League Phase clash in the Champions League.

José Mourinho and his staff are unable to call upon a whole host of players owing to injury, with the likes of Rodrygo, Éder Militão and Ferland Mendy still unavailable for selection.

And as alluded to above, a further trio of players will also be ineligible, as a result of suspension.

Midfielders Eduardo Camavinga, Arda Güler and Bernardo Silva are not permitted to take to the pitch against Inter, after being shown red cards in their final appearances in Europe last season.
