Barcelona star Anthony Gordon has revealed his take that he performed well below expectations during the club’s most recent outing.
Frontman Gordon was for his part in from the off on Tuesday night, as Barcelona made the trip to France’s capital for a Champions League showdown with reigning tournament holders Paris Saint-Germain.
En route to an eventual 4-2 defeat, however, the Englishman endured one of his more underwhelming performances since taking his talents to Catalunya’s capital.
Struggling with everything from his decision-making to shooting and final ball, Gordon was far from his best over the course of the 90 minutes at the Parc des Princes.
And this is a fact which the 25-year-old was not shy in owning up to in the game’s aftermath… Drawn on his display during a post-match exchange with the media, Gordon admitted:
“I don’t think I was good tonight, like the whole team. I think we want to perform better. I know I was NOT at my best.”
