Barcelona seal deal for Naim García

The powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona have this afternoon closed a deal for a fresh addition to the club’s youth ranks.

The latest player set to make his way to Catalunya with a view to the 2nd half of the campaign? Naim García.

García, for his part, is a 21-year-old attacker, who is currently plying his trade with Leganés in Spain’s 2nd tier.

The Spaniard generally operates on the right flank, but is also more than capable of taking to the pitch on the left, too.

He has actually endured something of a hit-and-miss campaign to date, to the tune of appearances in just ten of Leganés’ Segunda outings.

Nevertheless, though, his efforts whilst on the pitch, as alluded to above, evidently proved sufficient to pique the attentions of one of Spanish football’s biggest clubs.

As per a report from Matteo Moretto of Relevo, Barcelona have today wrapped up a deal to bring García in with immediate effect.

The youngster is primed to fly out to Catalunya later today, ahead of linking up with Rafael Márquez’s Barça B.
