An update on the wellbeing of Real Madrid star Federico Valverde has come to the fore online this afternoon.
Uruguayan international Valverde sparked concern across the Real fanbase earlier today, after it was noted that he was not present alongside the rest of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad for first-team training.
Fears of a potential incoming spell on the sidelines immediately spread, a development which would of course mark a major blow for all associated with Los Blancos.
The Real faithful, however, need not fret.
This comes amid confirmation that Valverde’s absence from Valdebebas came as a precautionary measure.
As per a report from Guillermo Rai of The Athletic, the all-action midfielder is dealing with ‘a small knock on his hip’.
As a result, he is expected to link back up with the rest of Los Merengues’ squad on Thursday, before being available for selection as normal for the club’s La Liga meeting with Las Palmas on Saturday.
