Barcelona open talks over permanent sale

The transfer team at La Liga giants Barcelona have opened a fresh round of negotiations with their counterparts at French outfit AS Monaco.

After tying up a permanent deal for Blaugrana attacker Ansu Fati, Monaco are now eyeing similar for midfielder Marc Casadó.

Youngster Casadó is fresh off a challenging campaign all told in Catalunya’s capital. Owing chiefly to the stiff competition for places in Hansi Flick’s engine room setup, the 22-year-old was restricted chiefly to a backup role.

All told, Casadó was afforded just 15 starts between La Liga and the Champions League.

Such struggles have given rise to fresh speculation surrounding a potential departure from the Camp Nou for the Spaniard this summer.

And as alluded to above, one club already pushing for a deal for Casadó come in the form of Monaco.

As per transfer journalist Gianluigi Longari:

‘Negotiations well underway between Barcelona and AS Monaco for the permanent transfer of Marc Casadó.’
