A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga outfit Elche is drawing strong transfer interest from the Premier League heading into the summer.
The Franjiverdes star in question comes in the form of Álvaro Rodríguez.
Frontman Álvaro is for his part fresh off an impressive debut campaign at the Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero.
After linking up with Elche on a permanent basis from Real Madrid, the 21-year-old went on to rack up 34 appearances in the Spanish top-flight. And along the way, Álvaro chipped in with a solid seven goals and five assists.
Such production proved crucial to his new employers staving off relegation to La Liga 2.
And as alluded to above, Álvaro’s breakout campaign evidently did not go unnoticed across the pond, amongst the Premier League’s clubs.
As per a report from market insider Matteo Moretto:
‘Álvaro Rodríguez, Elche’s forward, is on the radar of the Premier League. Significant offers have already arrived for him, around 22 million euros: Bournemouth and Hull City are in the race.’
