Barcelona want João Félix to be part of a swap deal with Atlético Madrid, but the LaLiga champions are refusing to include him in a potential move involving the return of Antoine Griezmann to the Wanda Metropolitano, according to Deportes Cuatro.
The Portuguese is the most expensive signing in the history of the club and although he has not yet shown all his quality in the two seasons he has worn the Atlético shirt, they believe he has a big future and a lot to contribute going forward. For Diego Simeone’s team, João Félix is non-transferable.
Griezmann is reportedly close to returning to Atlético Madrid. The Madrid club and Barcelona are still in negotiations over a deal, which could include Saúl Ñíguez. Simeone has once again asked the board to bring Griezmann back to the club.
