Arsenal and Monza agree over Pablo Marí transfer

As broken by Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal and Monza have an agreement in place for the transfer of Pablo Marí.

According to the deal, Marí will join the newly promoted Italian side on loan, with a compulsory purchase option if the club manages to stay up at the end of the 2022/23 Serie A season.

Laast week it was reported that Hellas Verona also submitted an offer for the Spanish defender and were in pole position to sign him as they were willing to take the centre-back off the Gunners’ hands permanently.

However, it appears as though Silvio Berlusconi’s side managed to push a deal across the line to make Marí a Monza player.

The 28-year-old arrived to London with high expectations after winning the Brazilian Série A and the Copa Libertadores with Flamengo.

However, he failed to make an impact and he only played 19 games for Arsenal in all competitions.
