An update on the personnel situation in Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad has come to the fore in the Spanish media on Tuesday. And it confirms mixed news when it comes to the sidelined contingent in Catalunya’s capital at present.
Barcelona are of course primed to kick their campaign back into gear this weekend. Fresh off a spectacular opening to the new term, the Blaugrana will play host to Getafe, eyeing an 8th win from eight in La Liga.
On Tuesday, group activities were therefore resumed at the Ciutat Esportiva, as Barca’s internationals slowly trickle back to Spain.
There was good news regarding a pair of Blaugrana stars, as Frenkie de Jong trained with his teammates for the first time all season, and Karim Adeyemi resumed group work, too.
The news regarding key pair Raphinha and Joan García, though, was less positive.
Amid respective recoveries from recent fitness setbacks, the attacker and goalkeeper were both put through individualised sessions inside the gym. Their status to face Getafe therefore remains up in the air.
