The brass at La Liga giants Real Madrid have been made aware of the kind of outlay which will be required to convince Premier League outfit Bournemouth of the merits of Alex Scott’s sale.
This comes amid the understanding that the English international has made his way onto the radar of those in a position of power at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Scott, for his part, is a 23-year-old central midfielder, who has long established himself as one of the standout engine room performers in his home country of England.
Such excellence was expected to give rise to a move to one of the Premier League’s heavy-hitters this past summer, but in the end, Scott stayed put on the south coast.
This has left the door open to a potential future move elsewhere, with the aforementioned Real Madrid, on the lookout for reinforcements in the middle of the park, keeping a close eye on the situation.
And as alluded to above, this week, Florentino Pérez and co. have learned of the financial demands expected to be set out by Bournemouth to sanction a sale.
As per a report from Fichajes, citing the BBC:
‘The Cherries will demand €80 million. Last transfer window, Chelsea offered around €70 million, which was rejected. Now, to secure his signing, they will have to surpass that offer.’
