Yannick Carrasco: “I think I’ve matured quite a bit.”

Speaking in an interview with RTBF, Atlético Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco discussed playing for the La Liga club.

“I think I’m doing pretty well so far this year. I’m working defensively and offensively, and always trying to generate danger. Even tactically, I think I’ve matured quite a bit in all that.

“When you’re young, you think a bit more about yourself, about your individual performance, about doing tricks, but with maturity, you think more about the collective.

On playing for Atlético

“Here, the fans like it when we sweat for the shirt. It’s still a team of people. The values of life that we transmit on the pitch, that’s what they expect. I think I respond at this level.

I’ve already played 200 games [with Atlético]. It’s not an easy thing to do at a club and even less so at a top European club. I hope I can add a few more games to my tally with Atlético.”
