Xavi’s coaching staff at Barcelona

Xavi Hernández will be presented as Barcelona’s new manager on Monday and take his first training session on Tuesday. We take a look at who will be on the former captain’s coaching staff at Camp Nou.

Óscar Hernández

Xavi’s brother and right-hand man. He prefers to stay in the background. Known for his excellent organisational skills, he is also a tireless worker. He was a defensive midfielder in Spain’s Segunda B and also in the Third Division.

Sergio Alegre

He worked in Barça’s youth teams and worked as Xavi’s assistant at Al Sadd.

Iván Torres

A fitness coach who has known Xavi since they were children. He also holds a coaching licence.

David Prats

An analyst who played with Xavi at youth level. He was in charge of Al Sadd’s U23 team.

Sergio García

Once one of the most promising players in La Masia, before injury hampered his career. He now works as Xavi’s analyst, specialising in set-pieces and as an opposition analyst.

Toni Lobo

Lobo also played with Xavi in Barcelona’s underage system. He is in charge of recording training sessions and games for in-depth analysis.

Carlos Noguera

A physiotherapist, he moved to Qatar initially to work with the national team, but was hired by Xavi a couple of years ago to join him at Al Sadd.
