Xavi held talks over Brazil job

At his official unveiling as the new Barcelona manager, Xavi admitted he had spoken to the Brazilian FA over taking charge of the national team.

“There were conversations with the Brazilian FA. We spoke about joining Tite’s staff, being his assistant and then taking over after the next World Cup, but my priority was to return to Barça,” the new Barcelona head coach said.

On Monday, the 41-year-old officially put pen to paper on a deal until 2024.
