New Barcelona manager Xavi Hernández will use innovative computer software that facilitates the tactical analysis of matches automatically, in his new role at Camp Nou, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The tool will allow the Barca boss and his staff to take a qualitative leap forward in analysing matches and training sessions. The software has been developed by Joan Vilà, one of Xavi’s mentors in his growth as a footballer.
Kognia is a sports intelligence software company that automatises and conducts real-time and post-match tactical analysis of football games for football professionals, combining the knowledge of specialists in the football industry.
Unai Emery’s Villarreal is one of the teams already using the software developed by Kognia, which Xavi used last season as coach of Al Sadd. The software allows a coach to automatically detect all of the tactical situations that occur during a match.
