Real Betis midfielder William Carvalho could be set to pair up with Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr. The Saudi Arabian team are eager to sign Carvalho, who is a long-time friend and playing partner of Ronaldo.
Estadio Deportivo report that the Portugal international had many offers to leave last summer, from Fulham, Nottingham Forest, Lyon, Besiktas and Serie A side Monza, but a move never came to fruition. Los Verdiblancos invested €20m for the central midfield player in 2018, and now he will leave them for free with his contract set to expire.
Betis will save on their salary expenditure which will help them in their bid to acquire their number one transfer target, Leeds United midfielder Marc Roca. This will also help them to re-sign Ayoze Pérez, who will return to Leicester City as his loan deal has expired.
Carvalho could sign a three-year contract with a salary that will be three to four times what he receives at the La Liga club.
