Why Ex-Barcelona star Neymar is ‘laughing’ at PSG’s Ousmane Dembélé

The latest social media activity on the part of former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar has piqued widespread attentions.

This comes with the Brazilian having made use of the opportunity to poke fun at the player brought in to replace him at both clubs.

The individual in question? Ousmane Dembélé.

Wide-man Dembélé, of course, is currently plying his trade in France, with the aforementioned PSG. The Frenchman was brought in in the summer of 2023, to cover for the loss of Neymar – now plying his trade in Saudi Arabia with Al Hilal.

He has since gone on to endure something of a hit-and-miss start to life at the Parc des Princes, with Dembélé continuing to create at an elite level, to the tune of ten assists across the season to date.

In front of goal, however, the France international has toiled, having found the net on just a solitary occasion in 28 appearances.

And it is precisely these shortcomings which, as alluded to above, have today seen Dembélé find himself as the butt of the joke online.

As showcased below, a Neymar fan account recently unveiled the following post on Instagram, a less than subtle dig at the production of PSG’s talented wide-man:

‘Goals in the PSG shirt this season: Neymar: 2 Dembele: 1’

And, evidently, upon stumbling across as much online, the former saw the funny side of things.

In turn, taking to the comments section, Neymar responded by way of a simple but effective post of his own, a ‘laughing’ emoji:
