Why Bayern Munich are angry with David Alaba amid Real Madrid’s Alphonso Davies chase

The powers that be at German heavyweights Bayern Munich have been left less than impressed by the behaviour of Real Madrid star David Alaba over the last couple of months.

As much comes amid Real’s ongoing efforts to land Alphonso Davies from the Bavarians.

It is of course common knowledge that the powers that be at the Santiago Bernabéu have long set their sights firmly on the signature of Canadian international Davies.

In the market for a new left-back this summer, the 23-year-old has been identified as the leading target, ahead of the expiration of his contract at the Allianz Arena in the summer of 2025.

Talks, in turn, have long been kicked into gear between the Real brass, and Davies’ entourage.

The board in Spain’s capital, though, are far from the only ones working hard to convince the defender of the merits of a move to La Liga.

So too, it is understood, is current Blancos star David Alaba.

As per a report from Relevo, Alaba, a former teammate of Davies’ in Munich, ‘has been talking wonders about Real Madrid for months and months’.

This comes with a view to a reunion in the summer.

And as much has left the Austrian’s ex-employers ‘bothered’ to the point of being ‘angered’.

It is reiterated by Relevo, though, that Alaba cannot really be blamed for his persistence, amid ‘the reality that it was Davies himself who took the initiative to ask his friend about life in Madrid’.
