La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Friday unveiled footage of the club’s latest big-money signing training at their base for the very first time. This of course comes fresh off Los Blancos’ drawn-out pursuit of RB Leipzig standout Yan Diomandé at last bearing fruit late this week.
Following weeks of intense negotiations, Real Madrid finally clinched a 6th signing of what has been a busy summer window to date on Thursday.
After the aforementioned Diomandé was identified as the missing piece of the puzzle in José Mourinho’s talent-packed frontline, the brass at the Santiago Bernabéu agreed to meet the massive financial demands laid out by Leipzig.
The Ivorian, in turn, made his way to Spain’s capital this week, before putting pen to paper on a long-term contract on Thursday.
Real Madrid’s squad actually departed their base at Valdebebas earlier today, flying out to Budapest ahead of a friendly meeting with Ferencváros on Friday.
Diomandé, though, was not called up. Instead, the 19-year-old was instructed to stay put in his new home city, to undergo personalised training routines with a view to ramping up his fitness levels for the season ahead:
