Footage of the immediate response of Atlético Madrid star Julián Alvarez to the latest round of fan backlash against him has come to the fore online. This comes fresh off those of an Atléti persuasion making crystal clear their feelings with their side’s star frontman.
Diego Simeone’s troops were back in action a short time ago, welcoming Villarreal to Spain’s capital for a meeting between 3rd and 4th from the 2025/26 La Liga campaign.
The aforementioned Alvarez was for his part forced to make do with a place on the bench from the off, before being introduced to proceedings during the 2nd-half as his teammates battled back to secure a share of the spoils.

After taking his place on the bench, Alvarez’s name was announced to the stadium as part of the hosts’ squad list for the day. And in response, amid the ongoing speculation linking the 26-year-old with a move to Hansi Flick’s Barcelona, the home crowd came together for a loud chorus of boos and whistles.
