The latest high-profile addition to La Liga champions Barcelona’s first-team ranks has on Wednesday moved a step closer. This comes after Karim Adeyemi was spotted arriving in Catalunya’s capital.
Frontman Adeyemi has of course taken his place centre stage in the media chatter surrounding Barcelona over the last week.
Following a lightning round of negotiations with Borussia Dortmund, the Camp Nou brass thrashed out an agreement to bring the German international to Spain for next season.
Adeyemi will add yet further quality to an already rejuvenated frontline in Barcelona, following the recent signing of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United.
And as alluded to above, on Wednesday, the finalisation of the transfer took an altogether significant step forward.
After being given permission by parent club Dortmund to depart the club’s base, Adeyemi touched down in Catalunya. The 24-year-old will now proceed with his medical checks and scans at the Ciutat Esportiva, before penning terms on a long-term Blaugrana contract.
