Watch: Barcelona’s newest signing touches down to sign contract

The newest incoming addition to the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Monday been spotted in Catalunya’s capital for the first time.

This comes as Gabriel Jesus prepares to put pen to paper on a contract with Hansi Flick’s troops over the hours ahead.

Frontman Jesus of course positioned himself front and centre in the Spanish media headlines almost completely out of the blue this past weekend. After word was forthcoming that Barcelona were considering a surprise move for the oft-sidelined Arsenal man, a deal was quickly struck to bring Jesus to the Spotify Camp Nou.

After Deco and co. came up short in their efforts to land first-choice striker target Julián Alvarez, the one-time Manchester City man was identified as the ideal stopgap addition.

And as alluded to above, early this week, the Blaugrana faithful were afforded their first chance to catch a glimpse of Jesus in the city which he will soon call home.

The 29-year-old touched down in Barcelona on Monday afternoon, ahead of undergoing a medical and signing with the reigning Spanish champions over the coming hours:
