Vinícius Jr’s role in Real Madrid’s Alphonso Davies pursuit revealed

An insight into the role being played by talismanic attacker Vinícius Jr. in Real Madrid’s ongoing pursuit of Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies has been provided this evening.

It is of course common knowledge that Real have identified Davies as a prime transfer target, with a view to next season.

Keen to reinforce the left-back options at the disposal of head coach Carlo Ancelotti, Bayern Munich’s star stopper is viewed as the ideal addition for present and future alike.

To this point, the German champions have showed little openness when it comes to the possibility of parting with Davies any time soon.

But the 23-year-old has seemingly not closed the door on a move away from the Allianz Arena, in rebuffing the efforts of the Bayern brass to tie him down to fresh terms.

And, as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then the Bundesliga heavyweights do not only have their counterparts in the Real boardroom to contend with in their efforts to convince Davies to reject the prospect of a move to Spain.

Additionally, they are being forced to battle against the word of a headline member of Real Madrid’s squad.

The Blancos star in question? Vinícius Jr.

As per a report from The Athletic on Friday, Davies and Vinícius maintain a ‘very good relationship’ off the pitch.

As a result, the latter has long been in the ear of the Canadian, to ‘give him his positive opinion of the club and the city’.

With Davies’ former teammate, David Alaba, also understood to be mounting a personal push for a reunion in La Liga, it is safe to say that Bayern Munich have their work very much cut out for them.
