Villarreal want to sign Giovani Lo Celso from Tottenham and have submitted an offer to bring him back to the club.
The Argentine midfielder spent the 2021/22 season on loan at the Yellow Submarine and played a key role in helping the club reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Unai Emery made Lo Celso his number one transfer target this summer and the player has also expressed his desire to play for Villarreal once again.
As reported by Marca, the club have already submitted an offer for another loan deal, with a compulsory purchase option in the region of €15 million.
Even though Tottenham paid €30 million to buy the player from Real Betis 2 years ago, they are willing to accept the offer as the midfielder is not part of Antonio Conte’s plans.
Villarreal are also planning to offload some of their unwanted squad members this summer, with Boulaye Dia and Paco Alcácer being placed on the transfer list.
