La Liga outfit Villarreal will be forced to make do without the services of goalkeeper Péter Gulácsi in their Champions League meeting with Napoli on Tuesday evening.
This comes after the summer arrival in Spain was subjected to a harrowing ordeal at his home.
As per a report from COPE:
‘Péter Gulácsi, goalkeeper of Villarreal CF, suffered an armed robbery at his home early this morning while he was with his family. Fortunately, none of those present were injured.
‘Due to the impact of this situation, the footballer WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE for tonight’s match.’
Gulácsi for his part put pen to paper on terms with Villarreal over the summer, in a cut-price transfer from German outfit RB Leipzig.
The experienced Hungarian, 36, has since gone on to feature from the off in five of the Yellow Submarine’s nine fixtures across all competitions, most recently at the Bernabéu in a 1-0 defeat to Real Madrid this past weekend.
