Atlético Madrid and Villarreal are in negotiations over a loan move for Vitolo, according to journalist David Vinuesa Malbac.
If a deal is agreed between both clubs, the winger will join Unai Emery’s side on loan for the rest of the season. The 31-year-old has only featured six times in the league so far this season for Los Rojiblancos.
It has been reported that the deal could possibly turn into an option to buy at the end of the current campaign, however it is more likely that the league leaders will offer a deal without the option to buy. Both clubs will continue negotiations on Monday, the final day of the window.
