Valencia in talks with Barcelona for midfielder Nico González

Valencia continue to have serious problems moving forward in the transfer window, report Marca.

Los Che need more income before they can spend on new signings. The Spanish side have enquired about signing Barcelona midfielder Nico González on loan.

The former Barça youth team player has little chance of playing regularly if Frenkie de Jong does not leave the club this summer.

With Gavi, Busquets, Pedri, Kessié and De Jong all options in the engine room, Nico will not have regular game time under Xavi, despite being a player the manager likes.

The Mestalla outfit urgently need a player of Nico’s style. In recent days Rayo Vallecano have also asked for the player on loan, but a loan move to Valencia would be more interesting for the Blaugrana club and for the player himself.

Barcelona are in no hurry to make a decision and have no problem starting La Liga with Nico in their squad, waiting until the last moment to loan out the 20-year-old if De Jong ends up staying at Camp Nou.
