As broken by Fabrizio Romano last night, Chelsea have made Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang one of their transfer targets this summer.
The former Gabonese international joined Barcelona from Arsenal in January 2022 and made an instant impact at the Blaugrana, scoring 11 goals in 17 games in La Liga.
With the likely departure of Timo Werner, the Blues are in the market for a new striker. Chelsea are yet to make an offer for the 33-year-old, but are expected to do so once the transfer of Werner is finalised.
Despite being wanted by the Premier League side, last week it was reported that Aubameyang has no intentions of leaving Barcelona and he is very happy in the city and at the club.
He is ready to fight for his place in the starting XI alongside Robert Lewandowski and be a part of Xavi’s project to take Barcelona back to the top again.
