La Liga outfit Valencia could be without a key member of the club’s attacking ranks for their upcoming meeting with Getafe.
The subject of personnel concerns, of course, has taken its place front and centre in the headlines at Valencia across the week to date.
This comes after star defender Mouctar Diakhaby suffered one of the most gruesome injuries in the recent history of Spanish football.
Owing to an accidental collision with Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni, Diakhaby was stretchered from the field of play at the Mestalla in evident agony.
It has since been confirmed that the Guinean international has suffered a dislocated knee, though the damage could yet prove to be far worse, with Diakhaby likely facing up to a spell of at least 12 months on the sidelines.
And yet, this did not mark the only blow to Rubén Baraja’s ranks in their showdown with Real on Saturday night.
As confirmed by Mundo Deportivo, also struggling for fitness on the back of the latest round of La Liga fixtures is Roman Yaremchuk.
Frontman Yaremchuk was on target in his side’s 2-2 draw with Real Madrid on Saturday.
However, after being hooked from proceedings just shy of the hour mark, the Ukrainian has since been forced to sit out team training.
His status for Valencia’s upcoming meeting with Getafe, as a result, appears to be up in the air.
