The only 4 players who have scored more Champions League goals than Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé

Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé this week continued his climb up the all-time goalscoring ranks in European football’s most prestigious club competition.

This came courtesy of his latest strike in the colours of Los Blancos.

En route to a hard-fought 2-1 downing of Italian champions Inter Milan in the Champions League, Mbappé set the scoring in motion after capitalising on a mistake in the visitors’ defensive ranks.

This proved a historic moment for the Frenchman, who levelled Real Madrid icon Raúl González in 5th-place on the all-time Champions League goalscorer’s list.

Mbappé, for his part, has now found the net 71 times in the competition. And it is four other La Liga icons who sit ahead of the 27-year-old in the standings…

In 4th comes Karim Benzema with 90, 3rd is Robert Lewandowski with 109, and 2nd Lionel Messi, with 129 goals to his name.

Sitting pretty atop the pile, meanwhile, with his record looking altogether safe for the time being, is Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese managed 141 Champions League goals before departing Europe for Saudi Arabia.
