The Barcelona players who have won La Liga for the first time

After Barcelona clinched the La Liga title on Sunday, midfielder Sergio Busquets will bid farewell to Barcelona with his ninth league title, a number only surpassed in the club’s history by Lionel Messi, who won 10 as a Barça player.

Andrés Iniesta and Gerard Piqué, who played six league games this season before hanging up his boots in November, have also won nine league titles. Head coach Xavi Hernández has eight Spanish league titles to his name.

Of the old guard, Sergi Roberto now has seven La Liga titles and is Barcelona’s sixth most successful player, while Jordi Alba is now on a par with legends Pep Guardiola, Víctor Valdés, Carles Puyol and Dani Alves on six.

With five, Marc ter Stegen, who will also win his first Zamora Trophy, is level with César Rodríguez, Josep Seguer, Marià Gonzalvo, Antoni Ramallets, Velasco, Carles Busquets, Albert Ferrer, Guillermo Amor, Hristo Stoichkov, Marc Bartra and Pedro, according to Mundo Deportivo.

First La Liga title for Pedri and Co

It will also be Ousmane Dembélé’s third league title in six seasons at the club. It is the first La Liga title for Ronald Araújo, Andreas Christensen, Marcos Alonso, Alejandro Balde, Jules Koundé, Eric Garcia, Frenkie de Jong, Pedri, Gavi, Franck Kessié, Pablo Torre, Aleix Garrido, Robert Lewandowski, Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres and Raphinha, as well as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Héctor Bellerín and Memphis Depay.

Aubameyang played one game before leaving in the summer transfer window. In the January transfer window, Bellerín and Depay left after playing three and two games respectively.

Ángel Alarcón, Marc Casadó, Aleix Garrido and Chadi Riad will also be counted as champions, having played some minutes, and it remains to be seen if Arnau Tenas and Iñaki Peña will end up playing before the end of the season.

Lamine Yamal, who is the youngest La Liga debutant in the club’s history, has been overlooked in the list of players who have played a part in the club’s league triumph.
