The Barcelona man who could keep Kylian Mbappé happy at PSG

PSG are coming to the end of a disappointing 2022-23 season. One of the objectives for the 2023-24 campaign, now likely to be without Lionel Messi, who is out of contract and has been linked with a move to Barcelona among other destinations, will be to keep Kylian Mbappé happy.

Mundo Deportivo report that there is little hope at the Parc des Princes that Mbappé will complete the additional year he signed in 2022 (two seasons until 2024 plus an optional one until 2025). PSG want to surround their star player with the best players in a bid to win the Champions League. Ousmane Dembélé is on the shortlist of players to help Mbappé, according to L’Équipe, who list the Barça winger among the candidates.

PSG’s summer shortlist

Randal Kolo Muani, Bernardo Silva, Pierre-Émile Höjbjerg and Dembélé are the players PSG are reportedly considering as options to strengthen their attack this summer. It is not the first time that the Blaugrana player has been linked with the Ligue 1 club and Mbappé, with whom he has an excellent relationship through the France national team.

Dembélé is also in the news at Barça because there is talk of a contract renewal. Mundo Deportivo explain that his contract extension, which expires in 2024, is currently going through a logical waiting period with the winger and his agent, Moussa Sissoko, analysing the offer. The intention is to reach an agreement before 30 June to avoid the player’s buy-out clause dropping to €50m.
